WIGAN SKIP HIRE FAQ's
Here at Wigan Skip hire, we like to try and answer some of your most common question that we get asked just click on the question to reveal the answer

A. The standard rental period is one week from delivery
A. You can place non-hazardous waste such as debris, household items and garden waste in your skip. Hazardous waste requires special containers, permits and licenses. You cannot mix hazardous waste with non-hazardous waste. If you need a skip for scrap metal, please call us for prices. For any questions about hazardous waste, please call our team.
A: The skip must only be filled to the FILL LEVEL, anything above this level will only leave our drivers in a position where they will have to level the load to make it a safe load to travel with because, if they are stopped and challenged by the authorities with an unsafe load they could lose their license and can also cause a risk to other motorists.
A: If then skip is going on the public highway yes you will require a permit. We can apply for a permit on your behalf which will take up to 24 hours costing £35 including vat (administration fee).
The following items cannot be loaded into the skip: food material, clinical waste, fridges, asbestos, tyres, liquids, hazardous waste (including fluorescent tubes), plasterboard, full or empty paint tins, batteries , gas cylinders , TV’s and computer monitors.
